I have been using ChatGPT a lot since just a few days after its launch, and it has a ton of ways it can be used for SEO. I've been sharing these with my email list over the past few weeks.

One thing I have been working on is a spreadsheet with all the common prompts I use in ChatGPT. This includes some uses beyond SEO too.

I figured I would share it here for anyone that wants it.

You can make your own copy if you wish by going to File >> Make a Copy.

However, be aware that copies will not receive updates I make to this document. This is what I call a living document in that I will be adding to it and making changes as I discover new and interesting ways to make use of ChatGPT.

    • According to a recent update from google, you can use AI content. But I don't have any idea will they approve your AdSense or not.

    • Thanks, but I always give away my knowledge and information for free. There are some interesting updates coming to this sheet soon based on some stuff I've been playing around with to train ChatGPT and give it a persona to write as.

  • If you guys are for now just using Chat GPT and not OpenAI's premium GPT-3 API, then here's a Chrome extension that can serve as a supplemental tool for Mike's list of prompts, allowing you to create your own prompt templates:

    What Are Prompt Templates?

    Best way is to illustrate this through an example. With that Chrome extension, you can create a prompt template like this:

    Notes: Just replace everything inside quotes to [PROMPT] when creating your own prompt templates in the AIPRM Chrome extension. That way, you'll just need to enter a comma-separated list of the stuff you want for those placeholders. But keep in mind that Chat GPT's token limit is, well, quite limiting, which is why I recommend using OpenAI's premium subscription for their GPT-3.5 model (latest one) to write your own code (Chat GPT's token limit also applies to AIPRM) ...

    So your prompt template in AIPRM will look like:

    Write a captivating headline and an enticing 1-paragraph summary for this text, and mention the keyword "[PROMPT]" in the headline and the keywords "[PROMPT]" and "[PROMPT]" in the paragraph, but limit the headline to 70 characters, the paragraph to 170 characters, and each sentence in the paragraph to 70 characters: "[PROMPT]"

    • That plugin is kind of trash. I want to like it, but I tried it when it first came out and again last week. It's buggy as hell and works less than half the time.

      There are far better options out there. The reverse prompt engineering video I put on my YouTube channel gives a far better way to create prompts than anything I've seen from that plugin.
  • Can't escape OpenAI servers dishing out "We're at capacity," which in my experience happens more often with their free Chat GPT Web app and other tools like AIPRM that use this through proxies or any other workaround. So as I mentioned, my best experience so far is doing my own programmatic stuff with OpenAI's premium GPT-3 API. Aside from being able to fine-tune their LLMs for the particular use-cases of my clients when needed, I also get more granular control over the input and output tokens that I need. Plus, this allows me to use and include in my runtime pipeline other APIs like SERPAPI, DataForSEO and various Selenium-based scraping tasks.

  • GPT-3 API can end up at capacity just the same. There is no difference there, and it does happen. I've had it happen with other tools I've used that uses the API.

    As for ChatGPT Pro, the only time I have ever seen a message about being at capacity since signing up to it was when I was not signed in one time, and I would bet that is the case with a lot of those Reddit messages.

    Also, that Reddit forum is not the best place to get any kind of honest opinion on ChatGPT. If you have followed it for any length of time, you know that the tone of that community is largely negative. Many of the users are going out of their way to find something to complain about and paint ChatGPT, and OpenAI as a whole, in a bad light.

    Hell, for a few weeks about half the threads in there were people complaining that they had "nerfed" CHatGPT and it was no longer allowing them to write their Harry Potter erotic porn.

      Just to clarify, I NEVER said it wasn't 100% immune to being at capacity though. What I said was, premium GPT API performance outshines the performance of free Chat GPT, tools that use this with workarounds and Chat GPT Pro, based of course on my own experience, tests and research. And my point is, again, I'll NEVER be in any position to say that this will NEVER happen to N-E-ONE because it involves finite resources to power up server networks.

      Key phrase there is "I had". But that wasn't in your previous message though. And, I don't have any comment about predicting, more so betting, what others in ReddIt were actually experiencing.

      Red herring with the use of tu quoque. Not my place to judge how people use something then all of a sudden associate it with a notion on the veracity of their claims based solely on my subjective insights about how they use something. Instead, I use verifiable evidence for that. Without it, I reserve judgement.

      My point is, never say never if it's already happened to you (you originally mentioned it never happens, but then you're saying now it actually did when you were logged out?), and when pure logic says it can happen anytime to anyone.

  • Thanks for sharing these prompts. Imho a lot better than some of the lists I've seen, because formatted into sections. And not overloaded with too many prompts, so more useful as a guide to creating your own.
